Tranny Bearings in 5MT MY05/06?

Front diff./tranny bearing problems.

Well I thought I had a bad RF wheel bearing. (53k miles) Turns out it is in the tranny/front diff.

Problem: Growling from front end at speeds above 45MPH, gets worse during left hand turns. First noticed only at LH turns at full lock, slow speeds about a year ago. Then in the last couple of weeks, I noticed it driving at speed in straight line.

The 2-3 shift has always been 'notchy', occaisionally the 1-2 shift as well.

 

Anyone else have similar issues?
