Subaru is charging $300 and Sixtar Service bout $290. I was wondering if anyone know where I can find a better deal or alternative resource. I thought about doing it myself but it be my first time and I have every tool except the one you need for the pin that locks the bolt. ( I think) any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. I am doing a full HID retrofit next week (projectors, bulbs, ballasts, halos, and a blackout) I'll post pics when I'm done. I will be rebuilding my motor later this year (it's about time for the race block) & I'll be doing a fairly heavy clutch while I'm there. Other than that, I am getting ready for TogueFest @ the Tail of the Dragon in a couple weeks. What's everyone else doing to their rides as of recent? I am doing the maxed out version of that kit with halos. I'll try to remember to make a writeup of it. My buddy Dana (Sparta on WRXATL) runs Touge Fighter and they're a TRS vendor so hit him up if you have questions or want an invoice to explore. Ghionw Posted October 21, 2014 Share Posted October 21, 2014 I applied some sound deadener to my front doors and trunk lid. I got mine from a guy over on DIYMobileAudio. Sound Deadener Showdown was the company. Products seem good and the prices were decent. He answered any questions I had promptly and help me get the right amount of product for the job. Dana and I did the retrofit/hid kit/ and halos on my car a week ago and I think it makes the legacy look much nicer. The last thing to do is to wire the halos into the parking lights. I also purchased led switchback lights for the turn signals and I think they look pretty cool overall. Next up is to gather as many parts as possible for the motor rebuild. Don't be surprised if I post on here asking to rent a car! Parts list: The Retrofit Source retro quick kit for the legacy Morimoto upgraded projectors (surprisingly easy swap) Morimoto ballasts Morimoto 6k bulbs 8mm led halos Diode Dynamics LED Switchback turn signal bulbs w/ CF18 flasher module The retrofit took quite a while but a majority of that time spent was paint-related. I have no idea whether SoK would look at it. I think at the very least it'd be a diag. I helped Dana do the install so im not sure what his actual labor rate would be. He told me last night he's not trying to rip anyone off, he genuinely likes doing the retrofits.
