1993TurboLegacy
I have a 1993 Subaru Legacy SS AWD. It has an automatic in it. Ever since I have had it, it has no reverse, it is not a big deal to me, but I wanna get rid of it soon and want to fix it before then. When you put it in reverse it's just like you put it in neutral! Thanks in advance for any help!

PeterJMC
Have you taken it to a transmission shop for diagnosis?
1993TurboLegacy
Yeah I have to watch where I park, haha. No I haven't taken it to a transmission shop. Just wanting to know if anyone else is having the same problem.

monkeyposeur
Are you getting any cels? If your tranny isn't busted then the other possibility is your neutral inhibitor switch is bad or maladjusted. The switch is located on the passenger side of the transmission. 1993TurboLegacy
No check engine lights or anything like that going on, not sure what the problem is. Car goes good in all the forward gears, it doesn't even slip in reverse, it's like it is not even there. I changed the tranny fluid last week and that didn't help, but it does shift a lot better going forwards, still pushing 10 pounds of boost and getting 19 mpg, gotta love it!
