danbart
So i decide to install some mud flaps on my 2005 Legacy LGT Wagon and while shopping around discovered the Rally Armor Urethane flaps. I initially decide not to go w/ them because of the cost, but doing a bit more research I found some 12x18 urethane mud flaps from Rallylights.com, these were $20 per one flap.n On top of that I discovered that urethane is really difficult to cut and trim. So I decided to go with the rally armor kit, and I'm happy I did. The flaps look great and seem to work well. The RA kit comes w/ 4 flaps nicely trimmed to fit the car and all the mounting hardware needed. So when you do the math of getting the $20 flaps, trimming them and getting the mounting hardware the difference is not that big. It took me less than 20 minutes to install the flaps and I didn't even remove the wheels to do so. Conveniently Colorado got a nice snow dump the day after I installed the flaps and decide to go for a test drive. As you can see from the pics the Snow was fairly deep. Went for a nice spirited loop and the flaps performed well. They are slick enough to shed most of the snow that typically gets built up in the wheel well, just look at the difference between the front and the rear edges of the wheel wells. My 2 cents! Throttlejockey
Nice. I just put some on also. I got plastic caps for the crews so the silver didn't stand out.
joeaux
Yeah, I've got nothing to say but good things about RA URs. I had a set on my '05 WRB STi and also on my '08 DGM STi. They protected the sides of both cars wonderfully. Especially the '08 STi. It's got a problem with gravel beating the crap outta the kick area at the bottom of the back doors. I've been debating if I should get a set for the spec.B. They look fantastic on the STi's because the flaps give them that squat, wide, rally look as well as protect. They look great on your wagon danbart. Hey Throttlejockey, if you would post some more pics of the car with the RAs on it. Pretty please. And yes, I need a new avatar. -joe-
Throttlejockey
I'll see what I can do. It's so dirty right now it would hard to tell how they look. It's only 2 degrees out so i can't wash it!

FireB
Damn, that looks nice! Is it easy to take it off or is it hard to take them off? I'd love to have it during the winter but wanna take them off during the summer time. Any ideas?

Guest LGT-NY
I've got 'em as well. Love 'em. akscooby
I just had deep, heavy slush tear off my underskirt...probably wouldn't have happened if I had these. Been thinking about it a while, but haven't bit the bullet yet. They look good, though...may just have to put in an order...

imboden
Why does everyone blank out their license plates anyways? On topic...I will likely buy me a set real soon. Tough between these and performance mods, I want both so badly but don't want to go overboard.

One question before install. Did you keep the stock splash/mud guards on your rear wheel well or are they to be removed when you installed the RA ones? http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=74182&d=1254803492 P.S. I suck at attaching images. In fact i'm not too sure exactly how to code them! Nice. I just put some on also. I got plastic caps for the crews so the silver didn't stand out. That makes them look much cleaner. Where did you get the caps from? Thanks for your help.
Mendozer
Anyone? With factory spats or without?
LazyDog
looks better without... the factory spats have cutouts along the bottom to drain water and dirt, but it does get trapped inside... http://www.longislandsubaruclub.com/images/stock_flap_damage.jpg
specialB
yea why does everyone blank out the license plate? Is it so somebody doesn't go snoopin it out online then try to go steal my car?? I only take it off when im photographing things the po po would not be too happy with : p I just got my Rally armor classic flaps and I'll probably put them on later this week. could not stand how much s**t gets thrown up on the side of the car. it was a worthy investment the classics are only a hundred bucks. the only thing you have to sacrifice saving 30 bucks is the shiny look, the classics are thick and have a textured finish something similar to the factory guards. ill have photos up when there on

mbcracken
Early XMas present for the wagon as I just installed mine a couple days ago as well. A small hint for installing the rear ones. I used a bike multitool to install the screws. Saves not having to buy the rallyarmor special tool or/and taking off the rear wheels. I got the black ones with grey lettering and they look sweet on our RBG wagon...And the wife even approves! Cheers, Mike
Buzzman
Could someone perhaps suggest how red muflaps look on a briliiant silver legacy? Curious if they would look out of place, especially with black wheels.
FrozenNorthLGT
Somone has done that, maybe not with black wheels though...but I dont remember the thread, or who it was. I think it looked pretty decent though. As long as you want the flaps to be that set off from the car.

I think the Legacy on the RA website is silver with bright red mudflaps. http://www.rallyarmor.com/store/legacy-mud-flaps-red-p-260.html Take a look there
