unidentified84 Posted January 19, 2007 Share Posted January 19, 2007 hi.. i have an 06 and i want 05 lights.. i tried blacking out my lights already but its not nearly as good as 05 lights.. i saw a link where i could buy subaru parts for cheap long time ago but now i just cant find it anymore.. help? You could buy some beat up cosmetically damaged ones and just take the plastic insert out of them and put them in your headlights... I ended up painting the entire housing and you can't tell the difference between what was once chrome and what was once black. What brand paint and how many coats? unidentified84 Posted January 23, 2007 Author Share Posted January 23, 2007 thanks guys.. but its hard to find both sides on ebay.. :S for some reason they have a lot of right side but no left side.. they did have a right side, but that was scratched.. darn it.. anyways.. i guess im gonna have to be more patient and wait until i find some descent conditioned lights.. Theres a difference? the 06 lights have chrome housing whereas 05 housing is blacked out.. minor thing but 05 lights look SOOOO much better.. What brand paint and how many coats? i dont remeber what brand but i coated twice.. what i dont like is that i forgot to tape the entire sides where blinker is.. i only taped the reflective part so it looks a bit different from 05 lights.. i m just a little too picky i guess..
