BassAdd1ct
i was driving to work this morning and everything was running sweet, like it has been all week.. then the heater wouldnt work, didnt think anything of, thought it was just a blocked heater hose.. then the car started to overheat, the temp gauge went from 1/4 to overheating in about 3 minutes so i pulled over, let it cool down a bit, had a look.. everything seemed fine.. all hoses were warm and squishy, could hear the coolant flowing when the hoses were squeezed.. so i started it back up and drove it a little further before i noticed a funny noise from the passenger side.. while accelerating it was loud tapping, but when i wasnt accelerating and just holding it at 60km/h sounded fine.. pulled up to a set of lights.. went to take off, got to about 40km/h then there was very loud bang... car stopped.. dead... rolled to the side of the road, popped the bonnet.. looks fine... looked behind the passenger head, an theres oil all over the passenger front axle.. smoke pouring out from under the block.. just closed the bonnet an rang dad.. he came picked me up.. im organizing a tow truck soon.. but for now im back to my old car yet again.. Tr00b
Holy shat... $7000 is a ton of money to spend on car repairs. maybe you should keep the one with all the new parts on it to put on the next one you are getting? So the headgasket blew out or a rod went out? Sorry to hear about this...
BassAdd1ct
well most of the money is on the engine :/ not sure exactly, i just checked the scan codes and that says it either 10 or 30.. which according to the fault codes is either manual transaxle, or auto transaxle.. mine manual so thats easy.. but thats not explaining the weird sounds.. i got quote $180 delivered to upullit so im gonna strip it and sell it for scrap.. mostly just take the headlights, indicators, rear lights and garnish, my sound system ofcourse, apart from that its stock so it will be quick.. wont get much for scrap but will get more than the wreckers.. and i cant have the car here long either.. my parents are stressing coz i already have two cars.. between 5 people we have 8 cars :/
