2005subie
So my radiator is cracked and I was thinking of purchasing the GMS radiator. What's you guys input on aftermarket radiators? Also heard the oem 08 sti radiator might work?

Drift Motion
And I bought my koyo replacement for under $100 lol, hence why i say set your budget and go from there I guess another thing is what do you want to achieve? If you are not racing the car, no need for big core aftermarket replacements

famaya26
Mishimoto FTW! I've been running it for a year now and havent had any problems with it.
subiefool
yah i think i might go with mishimoto, was it just a drop in bolt up kinda thing or is there cutting involved?
famaya26
No cutting needed, just trimming the top hose because it will hit the OEM fans. Also if you have a 5EAT, which was my case, you will need to run an external ATF Cooler. For a MT this is not needed. Mishimoto sells a fan with shroud that, from what I've read, performs better than the OEM fans.
bluesuby
You'll also need to trim the small hose from the top overflow tank to the radiator...no big deal. Mine was a bolt-in with no modifications or cutting. You'll need to buy another couple quarts of anti-freeze (or just get 3 gallons, use half now an the other 6 quarts in the future). I also like the drain plug on the Mishimoto. It's a real plug.
