LegacyCamper
We recently got our first subie and love it. Is it normal for an air suspension replacement with coil overs to lower the car in comparison to the original suspension? We have noticed when using a hire trailer the trailer is on a downward angle, which is never a good thing under brake, am curious if there is any way to raise the tow ball? (perhaps a higher tow ball as its not a tongue system)
robinlsb
You can get a draw bar with a 5 or 6 inch rise http://www.etrailer.com/dept-pg-Ball_Mounts-sf-Fixed_Ball_Mount-sz-Class_I.aspx Works for me. very Tall Tow balls are hard to find, you may need a custom built. LegacyCamper
those are a tongue (draw bar). our towbar does not use tongues (hitch receiver etc), its only part that is removeable is the ball (bolt through and nut). hope that makes sense :-)
AZP Installs
You probably will need to change to a draw bar style hitch unfortunately. -Mike Paisan http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/91072632.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/145749898/original.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/133406601.jpg http://www.whiteline.com.au/images/logos/perf1.jpg 11+ Years Maintaining, Modifying and Educating TriState Subaru Enthusiasts. robinlsb
This is probably the best you can do. http://www.etrailer.com/Balls/Curt/C40032.html "Belief does not make truth. Evidence makes truth. And belief does not make evidence."
LegacyCamper
thanks, long shank is what im looking at. its hard to tell how much the coil overs has dropped the car. on the plus side it handles wicked, down side it might be impossible to do beach missions in it. LegacyCamper
costs more than the car did :-)
Sideways the Seven
LOL! I figured that'd be the case, just thought I'd ask. -Brandon 2007 Chevrolet Suburban LT3 1981 Chevrolet C10 LWB
LegacyCamper
yeah its an insane figure hence why the suspension was done with the conversion. id have preferred a higher ride for beach trips, but not to be.
