So ive been wanting to go Bluetooth connectivity for my iPhone in my 2.5i. Reading through the piles of thread in INterior/Audio make my face hurt.

I dont want to use a BT via AUX jack I want straight BT to the head unit. I dont want amps, subs (unless oem), fancy speakers etc etc etc simply a capable HU and the right mounting plate/harness OR a BT module that plugs into the HU via harness.

Any suggestions

I believe only the limited's have the climate control... you should be good to go with an aftermarket deck. I have a sony dsx-300btx, I don't even have the external microphone and I get no complaints from my wife about reception over the bluetooth. Bought mine for $135 on amazon awhile back.

There's a newer version of it that also supports streaming and controlling Pandora through the deck.

If this was out when I bought my stereo this is what I would have gone with...

Pioneer is hands down the best stereo I've ever had as far as radio reception goes.

If you're bored or have a lot of time (like I did when I got the car) you can do the whole install :)

so i dont bump your thread from forever ago, do you have the amp runnin just the sub or the door speakers too? if your door speakers arent amplified, does it sound good still?

Looking at my connection, I have it bridged and only running the amp. It still sounds great. I know the front speakers (perfects) could take a ton more power than what that deck puts out, I just never got the urge to wire up another amp.... and never really felt the need. I can turn it up loud enough that I can't really stand it, and it is still clear. I love music, and for the hour a day that I drive this setup is everything I need it to be.
