gator attacked my car.

Recommended Posts

last night i was on the way home on the interstate when a pontiac gp shot a tire gator about 2 ft long at my car. it was headed for my windshield but i slowed enough for it to hit the bumper first. busted my one good fog and busted up the bumper pretty decently. guess now i have an excuse to put on an ob bumper. are all ob bumpers the same for those model years or is one better than another. this is what i would like to have. if anyone knows a part # that would be awesome. thanks.

planned on it. but i wanna find some that are super thin so's i don't get in the way of a possible future upgrade.

The Outback fogs get in the way of a front mount intercooler....trust me I know.

What is a tire gator?

The tread pieces that usually come off of retreads that lay in the road looking like an gator's back...

I thought this was a tire gator

Yeah they do get in the way of a front mount intercooler.

I have a front mount on my car with the OB bumper. They are not in all the way though. I have to come up with some kind of spacers or something to fit behind them. If I use them, blind all the other cars on the road because they are pointed straight up lol

The last pic will show you why FMIC gets in the way of OB fogs

Broknin,

I can see what you mean in that last picture with the OB bumper off. So, in the proceeding photos how are the lights holding on? I l've taken a look at my regular LGT fog mounts and even those look like they'd get in the way of that intercooler. BTW, your car freakin' looks awesome!! When my LGT grows up he wants to look like that someday. Haha!!
