Have been busy on the paint prep, but while I had the front bar off, I figured id do the lights while there :)

I took the lights apart and blacked those puppies out as much as I could. I didnt lose any chrome to the tape like may others seem to have mentioned. I used Scotch Blue, bout $16 a roll. Matte Black painted as much as I could.

Headlights were rather fisted, so I started sanding with 180, 240, 320, 400, 600, 800, 1200, 1500, 2000.. Finished off with Meguiars Scratch-X, They have come up awesome (forgive the bad picks below, They are filthy after doing the HID's/LED's

Strips came from E-Bay, bout 11 dollars shipped. went in easy, and the lights even have a spot already for you to poke them out the housing (see pic) just disconnected the normal parkers, chopped the wires, and connected up the strips. LOVE THEM. Being cheap crap from HK, I'f they bust, putting some new ones in wont take more than an hour.

The HID's are awesome. straight up. Diode Dynamics put together an awesome kit. Was easy to follow, and the install went smooth. I love the results, the visibility gain is awesome, Pics to come...

The Interior LED's rock too... I got a Stage 3 Dome light, so that's mega bright, I may order a blue one though, as a friend has one and its gorgeous... But either way, I'm happy as with the results.

Nice look. There's a 3m kit for polishing headlights. Makes em look brand new when used with meguires plastex.

Thanks dude, I'll take a look for some tomorrow, I'm a little impatient, so I still haven't sealed the light up after the work, I'll get it done in the weekend, And because of all the back n forth, i haven't polished them yet, I practiced on a spot with a power drill and wool buffer, it came up glass !!!

And the vanity light - Pic makes it look super bright... IRL its fine :)

Seriously considering... First world spec b problems though - Chrome bar in the headlight and parking light design means I'm not sure how i'd mount it...

I figure you have 2 options :p

Red or blue... Red will be harder near the top by the looks of it, but still doable. Blue might look better ?

Yeah I was thinking about the blue config (also maybe extending either red or blue over the chrome bar - orange line - but probably too difficult to get nice sharp corners with the strips). I've also been playing with the idea of putting the strip around the fog lights, but make it such that when the fogs are on the strips are off and vice versa. Would be something like:
