Pocono Legacy GT
I live in a mountainous area where the roads have many bumps and lots of potholes. I was wondering if a suspension upgrade would help my ride quality and save my rims from being bent or damaged. Could I just get larger tires such as 225/45/17's to help with large holes and bumps or would suspension be the best opinion? What is the most practical and cheapest suspension kit? Scooter
Hmmm... have you considered buying an Outback? Aftermarket suspension kits generally make the handling more stiff, which is NOT what you are looking for. Larger tires can help, but the improvement may not be all that noticeable. 225/45-17's aren't enough of a change: try 205/50-17's if you want to go down that path. iNVAR
Suspension isn't going to affect how your tires handle bumps, nope, sorry.
KartRacerBoy
Suspension won't save wheels from bending but stiffer shocks (Koni) could well feel better. I suspect going to a slightly larger sidewall height won't save wheels much either.
