TK-801
Id first like to throw out my inspiration to my project http://cache.gawker.com/assets/images/12/2010/02/500x_weird_subaru_legacy.jpg And here is a lovely article with far too little info on it. http://jalopnik.com/5462681/my-dads-subaru-wagon-can-beat-up-your-dads-everything It started like this http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg183/wrxodee/Subarubies/Battle%20Wagon/IMG_4221.jpg And sits like this now http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4023/5075480997_e115530207.jpg soon it will be this http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg183/wrxodee/Subarubies/Battle%20Wagon/IMAG0612.jpg Jackson Rally 1" lift kit. 06 Forester xt shocks and springs
TbirdMan
I can't tell for sure, but it looks like you need a bit more lift in the back, maybe some saggy butt spacers? next you need some tubular bumpers and skid plates.
TK-801
Yea my front has like 2 inches or more over my backend. but its maxed out for now

kaz98gt
I went the wrong way with my suspension...lowered but I've got a 98 gt sedan, and my brother wouldn't have the lift, so we went the other way.

Hops
I enjoy having a lowered LGT to drive occasionally and a lifted Outback as a daily to run over shit. Buy my cars!

Hops
Just found the Jackson Rally lift kit... Looks just like the Subtle Solutions kit I have. So you basically have the same setup as me, just an extra spacer up front. Buy my cars!
TK-801
Exactly. Wheels are 225/75/15 of a jeep wrangler. Actually Jackson built his then subtle copied them
Hops
Ah ha... I will say I was very impressed with the service at Subtle Solutions; placed my order on a Sunday and had delivery confirmation within a couple hours. Received my spacers in just a couple days. TK-801
Oh no questions on that. I have met the owners of both companies. Subtle have head on their shoulders.

rmb2485
This is badass! You need some centercaps though - some thrifty Jeepers have been known to paint Country Crock butter tubs black and use them. Possibly also put the spare in the trunk - maybe standing up on the driver's side, like Jeep XJs had them.
kaz98gt
Get a trail rated badge Might want to pick up an outback or OBS to mess around with...the idea of lifting these things seems like ALOT of fun.
subydrift
Bringing this back up. I will be adding my 97' Outback to the list of lifted Legos in the next couple weeks (once its warmer and I get new struts). I'm not doing the Forester struts though. I designed my own spacers on Solidworks and am going to CNC them out of 1.25" thick HDPE with the same hardware that JR uses with their spacers. Will cost me about a quarter of the price as Subtles and JR's for the complete set with hardware. I'm going to run some 215/75R15 General Grabber A/Ts or Yoko Geo A/Ts once my current 215/70R15 Yokos wear out. Should have plenty of clearance with the extra 1.25". Here's a pic of the 1" spacers I had CNC'd for the GC/GF/GM Imprezas... I just need to mock-up the rear spacer to a Legacy strut top to check the fit and then cut out the final product. subydrift
Ya, one of the benefits of working at a high end wood shop... And having a CNC operator that will run whatever you want for the price of a Copper Creek cheeseburger !!! I'm thinking of making a few extra sets once I get mine all dialed in as far as fitment and selling them to a few members who may be interested for fairly cheap, like half of Subtle or JR. Just an idea though... (any interest? ) Lol...
