bluewagon
Can any one tell me the size of the wrench(s) I need to use to bleed the brakes on a 2005 Legacy? I read somewhere the front and back bleeders are different sizes. Thanks
valerka
As far as I remember they were all 10mm on my car, someone correct me if I am wrong.

ehsnils
Those nipples are always in a large number of dimensions and if you happen to have a refurbished caliper they can be in imperial measurements too. It's just a random selection of what happened to be at home for the moment in some cases. Just grab a collection of the small wrenches and try it out. GTTuner
10mm wrench for the frt, 8mm wrench for the rear on a LGT. A 2.5i may be 8mm all around.

Max Capacity
10mm wrench for the frt, 8mm wrench for the rear on a LGT. A 2.5i may be 8mm all around. Thanks GTTuner, I was going to say that, but I couldn't recall exactly. The only Subaru I have bleed the brakes on was the 99' 2.5RS that we sold last year. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. Engine Build - Click Here
Turbo_4Me
You should have a selection of line wrenches in your tool set. 8, 10, 11, 12. You might see any combination of those sizes. Never use the open end of a open-end wrench or you will round out a tight bleeder.
