Max Capacity
Could be the starter is starting to hang up, or the gear is slow to slide back from the FW. Its a common problem. Replace the starter. Or pull it, grease the shaft and put it back in. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). Max Capacity
Or get a rebuilt starter from the auto parts store. That's what I did. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. I agree with Max, except to me it sounds like the starter solenoid does not disengage like its supposed to when the car is started, and thus the hold-in coil in the starter is still energized allowing the flywheel to spin the starter motor instead of vice-versa. You could hear that. I really couldn't hear much on that clip. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD).
