Markbo
I am just starting to read up on the TMIC upgrade. I understand that an 08+ TMIC will fit in an 05 Legacy GT... but is it larger or do I just need to concentrate on aftermarket or Bulletproofing? Frankly $700+ for a TMIC makes it impossible for me. 12sechatch
used AVOs and Perrins come up all the time for $350-500 I'm not certain, but I believe the 08 WRX intercoolers are identical.
Nrw
The stock 08-14 WRX intercooler and BPV is the same POS as the 05-09 LGT.

06SilverBullet
^^agreed. For what you pay for a good top mount, The low efficiency that you get from it really isn't worth it. Front mount is the way to go.
LegacyDan
Wait for the grimmspeed tmic
WhiteMonster06
And if lag is what you're worried about, with a good tune you won't notice much of a difference with a front mount. You'll notice better torque gains because of a more dense (cool) charge.
abakja1
I had a perrin tmic before i switched to a WBR fmic on stage 3 mods. i did make a little more power, but with all the engine bay clutter the intercooler piping takes up and scraping i get from the lower intercooler pipes, i think a tmic is the way to go for a dd if top hp isnt a priority. FknBoss
Isn't their boost lag going from a top mount to front? That's ALOT farther the boost has to travel. I've always like the top mounts on my wrxs
Nrw
Not if tuned properly.

I've always like the top mounts on my wrxs Not if you have a good tune....though keep in mind that the 2.0 in the wrx doesn't have the same torque output the 2.5 does so unless you have a big turbo that requires a front mount in a wrx, there will be a noticeable difference. Though, bigger turbo=more lag anyway...
