Fitment Opinion

Hey everyone,

just looking for some feedback...i have been searching and searching with no conclusion. Looking to run this possible set up and need to know if a good idea and if a lot of work would be involved.

18x8.5 +35 .... debating 215/40/18 or 225/40/18

Suspension would be Eibach Pro Kit on Koni Yellows.

Thanks in advance.

If you can't find an someone with this set up, I'd proceed in stages. If you have not bought the wheels/tires yet, then do the suspension work first. That way you can see where *your* car is sitting and then judge from there...
All I need now is a hill holder and a center passing light...

The garnish looks like it would crowd the opening even more than the quad tip already does. you be trading melty for rattley. What it needs is double-walled tips and correct fitment. Invidia has failed miserably since their initial release.

Good advise.

First get your suspension on and then you will definitely get a clear ideas as far as what may be involved to make your wheels fit. I have always gone this route with my cars and it saves you a lot of guessing and frustration.

Not too sure as to how low the Eibach set-up goes. Either way, I believe you may still have to remove the rubber fender edge liner and roll your front and rear fenders some just to be safe.

Regarding the tire options you listed above. My current wheel and tire set-up is a 18x8/et35 with 225/40/18 tires. With just a 1/2 inch difference on the wheel width, I know the 225 tire will fit just fine. The 215 tire will give you somewhat of a "stretched" look.

thanks cbarela ... you are the closest i've seen to running what i have in question.

any pics of your current set up? what kind of suspension do you have?

My suspension is KYB shocks with Tein S-Tech springs.

Here are some pics. Sorry for the attachments, can't remember how to post full size pics on the forum, it has been a while.

trying to sell/trade these for some 5x100 so i can put them on my legacy...

heres another pic of the "stretch"

logo was photoshopped on

but as you can see the slight stretch is nice

if I do it again, I'd probably go with some 215s so I can tuck the tires under the fender nicely
