Where are the engine grounds located?

Recommended Posts

I've searched all over this forum and the internet in general but cannot find a list of all of the grounds located in the engine bay on my 2007 Legacy.

The ones I've found are:

drivers strut tower

passenger head to chassis

drivers head to chassis

starter

pair at the front of the passengers side intake runner

Am I missing one or more?

Thank you all for the help with a trivial question

Two ground wires on the bracket in front of the master brake cylinder. Make sure they are clean before you attach them.

There is a thread about replacing and making up the two lower grounds off the heads.

I thought I had a picture of the rear grounds, but couldn't find earlier this AM. I now I have it in my file on my home PC.

Signal wire to the starter is attached, and I am able to jump the starter with the battery. However, it won't turn over since there is no fuel. Starter wire gets 12v.

Max Capacity- I looked for those grounds but did not see them.

On the very left side, left of the water tubes for the heater core, you'll see two bolts, those are the grounds.

Went to take a look for those grounds and the bracket.

What year is that engine?

I dont have the bracket or any grounding cables anywhere near that head on my 2007 2.5i, n/a engine. The intake runners on the engine you posted are plastic. Mine are metal.

The only pair of grounding cables I have on my engine are in the front of the intake.

Thank you for the link.

Its missing the 2007 model, but I've been working off the 2008 FSM for a few weeks. Sure am glad someone saw fit to upload that to the web.

I'm really hating this effin' car.

The 07 should be the same as a 05-06 for the most part.

Or like you have been doing the 08 might have the 07. I have never looked.
