ladysmanfelpz
Do our generation legacy's have a lead to the stereo that dims the unit when the head lights are on? My stereo has a dimmer and it can be set to auto so when you turn the lights on it automatically dims, but im not sure if we have the lead. It doesn't work now so either we don't have it or stupid car toys couldn't connect one more wire
SpecBamf41
iirc the dimmer knob on the turnsignal level controls the illumination module that then sends out the power for back lighting around the whole dash. the head lights being on just determines weather or not things are back lit. so that lead your talking about probably varies from 0-12 volts. (in a perfect world) more like 2-14 in our cars. BNR18g on 93oct
PDXLegoWagon
These cars have an illumination wire, it is red at the radio harness. I'm not sure why but a lot of installers don't hook up the illumnation wire when they install decks. Take it back and ask them to check it out and confirm that it is connected.
