gavman84
Hi all I'm thinking of buying a 2006 2.5 auto legacy it's the 170bhp engine and wondering what is the service intervals on this car? Heard 3500 miles to 10,000 but which is right. Also is the 4 speed auto reliable in these? Thanks Gav
idiot4hire
The 4eat in my wrx was rock solid. I think they are the same
gavman84
I rang the Subaru garage here in Ireland and service is every 15k km or yearly. Timing belt and pump 60 k miles or 5 years so that be ok.
andnyleswillriot
the subaru 4EAT is bomber, not as fun as the manual but for a non-turbo legacy it doesn't really make a difference anyway. I have seen BIG power put into subaru's 4EAT in past WRX's, LGT's, etc. without any problems occurring. You rarely here of people having to replace a 4EAT tranny in a subaru unless it's at like 250-300k miles or something haha
gavman84
Looks like a good solid car so. Only issue in Ireland is tax on it insurance is very reasonable for 2.5 too.
