tdilger05gt
I have a 2005 Subaru Legacy GT with the automatic transmission. It currently has about 109,000 miles. I have been noticing a whining noise when accelerating and then decelerating sometimes. Today I picked the car up from my local Subaru shop after having turbo work done and on the way home I noticed it again, this time I was in sport mode and when I down shifted the whining was much more noticeable. Could this be a transmission issue? Has anyone with an auto trans experienced this issue?
lingling1337
Where does it sound like its coming from? Could be turbo noise or transmission noise. What turbo work did you have done?
tdilger05gt
turbo work done was reclamping the inlet hose and cleaning it from oil blowback, it had been replaced before for a turbo bearing spun loose, I cant really pinpoint the noise but Im pretty certain its not the turbo
