legacyssturbofreak
so my wife just took my car to the store and the CEL comes on and cruise light flashes. to top it all off, the si drive is not responding. my tranny has been having issues even after the flush done by the most reputable local subaru shop. sometimes it does not like to shift into 3rd and when it does, it shifts in a neck-breaking form. last night it shifted horribly into overdrive. im going to hook it up to a scanner but second opinions are great. what do you guys think? bmx045
sounds like they forgot to refill the tranny with fluid (btw, you must be new here, CEL/cruise flash limits your SI drive to sport and I mode only)

bmx045
Yeah, damn these newer subarus! 5EAT failure is not very common, especially at stock, stage 1, or 2 levels.
BAC5.2
Find out the code, then come back. Can't tell you anything without at least the code. AZP Installs
With out more info obviously it is hard to tell what it is. Trans fluid drain and fills can cause some issues if not done right. Basically it sounds like they either over or under filled the transmission. Or they drained the trans and filled the front diff. If it doesnt have the right amount of fluid then the car will not want to run right. If the shop doesnt do a lot of work on autos then they might have drained the trans and filled the front diff with auto fluid. The diff fill is on the passenger side of the car where the manual trans fill is. The auto fill is on the driver's side tucked under the AC/fuel lines. It is not normally easy to see. If nothing else check the levels and make sure everything is ok. -Jake http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/91072632.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/133406601.jpg http://upload.pbase.com/image/137566671.jpg Call directly for your best Whiteline Price! | We also carry almost every manufacturer now, so before you buy parts call us. legacyssturbofreak
it was a code for a vacuum leak. kinda random imo. checked and did not see anything vacuum related undone. cleared the code so i will see if it comes back. i highly doubt they didnt do the flush right considering the owner and 2 employees own these cars. HDTurbo
make sure you tighten the gas cap at least 3 clicks after refueling. not doing so can cause such codes.
