dfsubiegt Posted February 28, 2012 Share Posted February 28, 2012 Just wondering if anyone knew as to why every subaru ive ever owned has the outside temperature flash when it hits 37 degrees?? Like why 37? BigBlack-V Posted February 28, 2012 Share Posted February 28, 2012 I wondered the same thing it always beeps at me at 37 degrees I thought I set something wrong glad it wasnt me same reason why the clock on my NAV reads 12 hour time and on the speedo reads 24 hour :spin: I was 0. That's the temperature you'll get frozen patches on the roads, especially those that have air underneath them like overpasses and bridges. Thanks for asking the question OP! I wonder if there is an option to disable it buried somewhere in the navi menu. I am sure mine has never beeped in the 6 years I have owned it. reaper450128 Posted March 3, 2012 Share Posted March 3, 2012 My 08 3.0R and my wife's 07 Chevy Equinox both warn us at 37 degrees, but I've noticed that mine will only beep if the temperature hits 37 while I'm driving, not if its already that cold or colder when I start the car. The Equinox will pop up a warning on the info display when she turns it on if the temperature is 37 or lower. I guess Subaru assumes we always check the weather before we get in the car, lol.
