Great iPod friendly product

Lojasmo

Recommended Posts

I just stopped by best buy, after a successful and frugal trip at the pick-n-pull, to get a Bluetooth dongle for my JVC head unit. As I was pricing the dongle, a new product caught my eye. It was an am/fm, iPod cradle, Bluetooth device for only ten dollars more! ($99)

I picked up, and brought it home. The 16 pin plug on the back was not the same, so I spliced in the new harness (not too hard...even for a neophyte) and put it in.

Not only does it provide seamless iPod integration ( warning about not supporting iPhone ignored...charges and plays)

It also streams audio, via Bluetooth!

Docked mode. The front closes. Up when the iPhone is not docked. There is an expansion port inside the body, but I cannot find any accessories to plug in there.

I wired the Bluetooth dongle into the gauge cluster. Very clean looking install.
