rage557
I'm now getting used the the sound of my new legacy, but one thing I noticed is that above 3k rpm there is a slight knock. It appears to be worse during acceleration, that is to say, it is not noticeable cruising at highway speeds. My first thought is that it is a bit of predetonation. The person who owned the car before put a large compressor on the turbo and I think that they may not have gotten a good tune. Any other possibilities that might cause this? Subieaction
Could also be a Rod knock, how often do you change the oil?
rage557
I changed it right after I bought the car but don't know how often the first owner changed it.
