michiganSOOB
Here goes, I've owned 3 1996 legacy 5MT 2.2l's and have done timing belts on two of them. This weekend while doing an oil pump seal and timing belt on my most recent car i noticed that my center timing mark was 5 TEETH OFF, or 90 degrees to the right.:confused:It's been like that since I purchased it in October of 2013 and runs fine save for not having much in the way of balls and the occasional misfire in the cold, uphill, at around 45-55, acceptable with 235000 miles. The arrow for the center timing mark on the pulley is facing straight right. The mark for it is straight up, Correct?? It continues to confuse the hell out of myself and my mechanic dad , anyone have any idea's or insight? Thanks, BBerry

johnegg
my center timing mark was 5 TEETH OFF, or 90 degrees to the right.which timing mark, the one on the crank.? the mark on the front face, or the mark on the rear tab? i did noy know 5 teeth would put the crank 90 degrees off, but maybe. NOT the ARROWS, NEVER the ARROWS.
