Evofai
So for the past month or two whenever i start my car on a cold start i get a loud screeching sound coming from my engine and i have no idea what it could be. I feel like it has something to do with my power steering because whenever i try to turn my car when im at a complete stop i get the screeching sound and it sounds like its grinding. If i start to actually drive and turn my car then i dont hear the screeching sound. Any suggestions on what to do or what the problem is? If you want to hear what it sounds like i found a video that sounds exactly like my car. sunny5280
Most likely cause is a loose belt. However I recently experienced a squealing noise from an idler pully for the timing belt as it was beginning to seize. Though that wouldn't be dependent on moving the steering wheel. Something to keep in mind if you rule out the other belts.
spooln30
Loose belt or a worn belt will cause these noises. GL
