ogredani
I recently bought a Sparco subframe intended for "Subaru Impreza WRX/STi made from 2001 to 2007". I was told from several sources that the Impreza had the same bolt pattern as the Legacy. They're not even close! Here the front right bolt is secured. The front left hole is 5 mm off. The rear ones are just way off. http://s25.postimg.org/dncct7glr/2014_04_20_15_59_59.jpg So lesson learned is that Impreza and Legacy aren't bolt pattern compatible. Anyone know where I can get a frame that actually fits? I saw Planted Techonology had one (http://www.plantedtechnology.com/products-images/subaru), but is that all there is? http://www.plantedtechnology.com/s/cc_images/cache_3989062004.jpg?t=1366240858
Claw
08+ Impreza might, but there's no way a 01-07 is remotely similar.

This one was built from a jig based on have been tested in a LGT. I use their bracket in my miata - it was a perfect fit. Well worth the money. ogredani
Alright, thanks for the input. I went for the Planted one after all. Felt quite solid and chose it despite the more premium price tag. And I paid an extra premium price since I need to have it shipped overseas (Sweden) and pay customs and so on. Well well, money is meant to be spent. There aren't too many people over here who put bucket seats in their Legacys, so the availability of frames is close to none. People tend to buy Imprezas to begin with. We can't all have blue cars with golden rims when taking the family for a trip, can we?

boxkita
I've been to the factory and met the welders who put these together. Extremely competent people. Will be interested as well. Build my car Boxkita Track days

Sure, I have a project thread here that I update: http://swesubaru.forum24.se/swesubaru-about5305.html But since your Swedish may be a little rusty, I'll just throw in a couple comments here as well once the frame arrives and I have everything in place. ogredani
So that's what he's been saying all along... Yeah, he's a very twisted man. I'm married anyhoo.. with arrival of our first expected within 3-4 weeks. Congrats big time! Our first is now 10 months old. You're in for a ride and your priorities and the reason you go out of bed each morning will change over night. A couple of words of advice, though: If you want something done with your car, house or life. Make sure you do them before D-Day!!! Unless you buy someone's sister as a nanny. ogredani
FINALLY! It took forever until I had the time to do this installation. #marriedwithchildren More pictures regarding the actual installation here: http://swesubaru.forum24.se/swesubaru-post-41741.html#41741 So here it is: http://s25.postimg.org/a55dccllb/2014_05_05_17_30_45.jpg http://s25.postimg.org/ioora3txr/2014_05_05_17_30_18.jpg http://s25.postimg.org/k7oqstpvz/2014_07_12_14_13_44b.jpg http://s25.postimg.org/q4sm9n70v/2014_07_16_12_06_14b.jpg The frame was very sturdy and solid. Very well made! It had some minor scratches, but it's not a beauty accessory and it didn't show once the seat was installed. Can't do anything but recommend it. Claw
I can probably go with the latter.. I'm going to shop around to see if I can find a better set of seats first.. perhaps FRS? Both wifey and I love those seats.. haha.
