Same wheels as Hanger. 18x9.5 +40 Tires are 255/35R18 5mm spacer up front to clear the RCE coil overs. No spacer in the back. Rolled fenders. Even my 255 wide tire looks mildly stretched on a 9.5" wheel. I wouldn't go any lower than 245 unless you're into that sort of thing. But I personally hate tire stretching. Handling is ass. If you wanna run a 225 or 235 tire, an 8" or an 8.5" wide rim is more than enough (and cheaper!)
EssTeeAai
don't forget different tire manufacture sizes are different even tho the specs are the same Federal 225 = some other brands 235 This is very true. 255 StarSpecs measure 261mm wide. and 265 measure 272mm wide. rchayes21
I just got off the phone with Tein USA and with BC/BR Racing USA , I asked more about their coilovers to see about clearance and the diameter of the spring. Because Hanger had Tein Flex coilovers and Nic Fisher had BC/BR's. BC/BR Coilover: 62mm diameter Tein Flex coilover: 70 mm diameter My coilover - Tein Street Basic : 70mm in diameter So thankfully. I would be looking at the same kind of clearance as Hanger had... Minimal I can see why Nic had no worries and had more room to work with.

Maybe you can remove the helper spring. With my coilovers, I got rid of the helper spring in the front so I could get the spring perch higher. This allowed more room between the tire/wheel and the coilover body. Rattsl
17x9 +45 i was just checking in case i come accross a good deal on 18's My fitment compared to what you could have. Shouldn't rub on the front, roll your rears though. This is with 235/40 though. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/01/13/33a0ef9eae5a1fce06bf990ec5eba83d.jpg

Rattsl
This is 245/40. Honestly, I'd try it if I were you. Take it to Discount tire, have them remove the tire, and slap a 245/40 on there, and see how the front fits. Should be fine on the rear. You'll roll the rear and remove the liner guarding the shock. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/01/13/7f6d6e07ce358a47514422b5f05009d1.jpg

fredrik94087
The only issue is once you go 255 you may need to pull your front fenders and trim/roll rear fenders. I had this done as soon as 255s were mounted...just to be safe. You can always mount the set and load it up and see about clearance to fenders. But is you are doing a test fit, you must roll the car back and forth in order to settle the suspension. If you just put it down and look at it, it will not be correct. SBT
18x8.5 +45 wouldn't fit 245/40 without some major caterwalling on the fenders so no dice. 235/40 fits but gives me fits with the rubbing on the inside wall above the rear suspension. MPS AS3es seem to be about the same section width as most other tires. - Pro amore Dei et patriam et populum -

benfrancis
Yeah, I'm curious about an 18x8.5 +38 setup with 245/40/18s on a stock height setup (jdm rev b bilstein).
SBT
^ Those are going to rub, unless you can get some good camber going front and rear, after you roll your fenders. 245/40s are pretty wide and +38 on 8.5" pushes it out to the hella flush zone, where you ought to be running "stretched" rubber to make it fit. To each their own though and if you like it, that's all that matters - Pro amore Dei et patriam et populum -

rchayes21
new wheels are on and fender work complete as best as I could. I was up all night working on them. I need more camber in the front, and MOAR LOW here are the specs cause I know someone will ask me…. -Enkei Kojin 18x9.5 +45et (+40 with my 5mm hub centric spacer) -225/40/18 -Fenders Rolled Flat and Pulled in the front, and just rolled in the rear. BTW until I can get some camber up front I'm not going to daily these wheels, too risky without some camber up there. …. one bad bump with a turn and I'm toast… thanks guys sorry for the crappy pics http://i1251.photobucket.com/albums/hh546/rchayes21/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zps1a1c2a14.jpg[/urlhttp://i1251.photobucket.com/albums/hh546/rchayes21/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsf6241564.jpg
