06GRPLGT
I've searched a ton and can't seem to find info on this here. If I missed a thread about this, please link it here. My Albero bumper has been on the slow boat from Japan, but it should be here very soon, so I'm looking for some information about what's involved in converting my front bumper setup. Please share if you have pictures of your USDM bumper beam being modified to fit a JDM bumper, or pics of the JDM bumper beam you installed. Also hoping for pics of the brackets, sliders, and fender liners...if you modified or bought them and how they install. Also any helpful, pertinent information you think I may want. Any small tips n tricks are VERY helpful. ANY and ALL pics you have of this process are greatly appreciated! I will of course document my conversion when the time comes, and share what I've learned with you. I'm a crafty person, so I could figure this out on my own once I have the bumper in front of me, but I much prefer being prepared and gathering some time-saving information. Thx in advance, '06GRPLGT

technicalgarage
I ran a cut beam until I got a jdm beam. I'll dig it out later this weekend if I have time and take a couple of photos.

06GRPLGT
Some good stuff in this thread (if you haven't already seen it): http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/my-jdm-edm-usdm-build-thread-209290.html http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u395/Frontman81/2012-10-20_16-38-03_166_zpsd9ba412d.jpg http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u395/Frontman81/2012-11-17_15-49-05_754_zpsfef7c8e5.jpg http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u395/Frontman81/2012-11-17_16-11-24_66_zps959b077c.jpg
technicalgarage
Sorry for not getting the photos... The cut beam is under a pile of junk. I'll dig it out this week and will also get pictures of the JDM beam as I'll be removing the bumper to install a lip.
06GRPLGT
Sounds good. Thanks!
technicalgarage
Dug out the cut beam. You need to cut the edges to form a trapezoid of sorts. The bottom "row" of the beam also needs some material removed as well I still need to pull my jdm bumper off to do my lip and will take a couple of shots when I do.
