onimitsu
First question, i am planing to upgrade my 96 legacy L to GT front brakes but i am still running the stock 14 inch rims, will the 14s fit over the gt brakes? Second, i bought a set of head lights off of a 99 GT for my L and went to put the on the car and found out the mechanism to hold the bulb in the headlight is different. i went back to the yard and looked at all the split type head light and found out that all of them use a spring to hold them in, where it looks like my new headlights use a screw type to hold the bulb in. Does any one know where i could find the part that holds the bulb in? thank you! here are some pictures of my headlights to show you what i am talking about. http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o97/onimitsu87/headlights1.jpg http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o97/onimitsu87/headlights2.jpg
johnegg
i can't help with the head lights, but the 14" wheels will not fit with the GT front brakes.
Kennyfvholla
The two-piece lights use an entirely different bulb than the one-piece lights. Pick up a set of bulbs for the two-piece as well as go back to the yard and clip off the plug harness to wire into your car.
Stang70Fastback
If you can find it, it's just a plastic ring that screws on. Surely there must be some on another junk car there. That method is so much nicer than the spring clip (I had the spring clips until I got some new headlights at a junkyard.)
onimitsu
that's what i figured about the 14s, i have a set of 15s waiting for the car but i wanted to use up the 14's tires before i swapped over. but a sticky caliper might change that! for the headlights i clipped the wiring harnesses from the car when i picked up the headlights, but i was not able to find the plastic ring on any car in the yard. i just wanted to make sure i do not have a odd set of lights since every two-piece in the yard was the spring type. thanks for the responses!
