fog32
With only a few months away, I'm starting to seriously look at new wheels/tires for my 2009 LGT. I came across the MB wheels and really like the MB Weapon in Gunetal. What do people think of MB wheels? Any specific positives or negatives about them? I think the gunmetal color will go well with my QSM car. I want a darker wheel but don't want to go black. Also... I want a "simple" wheel... that is... one that is easier to keep clean. Some wheel are just too detailed and I don't have enough patience for that. http://www.wheelsbymbmotoring.com/product.php?wheel=Weapon I looked at discounttiredirect.com and can get a set with tires for around $1,300. This includes mounting, balancing and installing the tire pressure monitoring system unit MB Wheels in 18x7.5 with 48 offsetHankook Ventus V12 Evo K110 - 225/40R18 Thanks for any comments or opinions! TRS
I had my summer tires on MB Blast wheels for a few years and then put my tracktires on them last year. Not the lightest but strong and have held up well. http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b380/TRS60586/Misc%20Legacy/downsized_0601091428a.jpg

skwiggly
I have MB Boost, 17x7, came with the car. They were pretty scuffed so I've been using them as winter wheels. I do think the gunmetal color looks GREAT with BSM Legacys, and also doesn't show brake dust hardly at all, so that's a plus. They seem to be pretty well made, but somewhat heavy though, about 20.5 lbs for my size. http://skwiggly.com/photos/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=1914&g2_serialNumber=
fog32
Weight isn't too much of a problem because I probably won't track the car much. Mostly a daily driver with spirited weekend driving. I like the idea of hiding break dust too. (wpmarky)Do you have any close-ups that show how light or dark the color is? I have the Quarts silver metallic and wouldn't want the colors to be too close. nKoan
I've had a few friends with MB Weapons, and they like them well enough. They are a tad heavy, but strong. Not a huge deal if you aren't looking to get every little ounce out of your car. I even borrowed a set from a friend for a few weeks when my snow tires died. I certainly would look into getting a set if I ever needed new wheels. Note that these are 17s, not the 18s. http://www.neurosybir.net/nkoan/images/weapons.jpg
