elxkid
If I go back to the stock catback exhaust, keeping the UP and DP, can I continue running my Stage 2 protune without running any risk of damaging the engine? ...sporting the hottest Legacy on the westside of my block:icon_bigg
SeeeeeYa
Certainly. And you probably won't even feel any loss of power.
DiscoWagon
I would say that there would be a restriction.

elxkid
I'm not worried about loss of power, only reliability as it relates to the engine because I was tuned with the full setup and now i'm removing one of the components i.e the catback... but it looks like I'll be ok right? ...sporting the hottest Legacy on the westside of my block:icon_bigg
Boostjunkie
You'll be just fine. Adding a bit of exhaust restriction will not make your tune unsafe. Significantly reducing exhaust restriction can make a tuned map run a bit leaner than intended, which can push the tune a little closer to the edge.
