LegacyKid5
Alright, so I placed an order for some 18x8 Hyper Black Rota Gravels the other day and it turns out they are out of stock on them for anywhere from 4-8 weeks. I was given the option to upgrade to the 18x8.5 at no additional cost but have a few concerns about the wide wheel. I'm going to be running a Toyo Proxes 4+ 225/40/18 and was told by les schwab that I can run that tire on the 8 or the 8.5 with no stretch. My concern is that the extra width may be too much, I've got an 05 LGT wagon that is lowered on swift spring. I really don't want to have to do any fender work. Just looking for some opinions on going with the 8.5" vs. the 8".
Drift Motion
8.5 isn't wide at all so are the 225s if the offset is in the +45 range, slap them on and enjoy them
Gire
If they are Rotas in 5x100 Subaru fitment, they should be the famous +48 offset, which sounds fine. DM above is right. And a 225 tire on a 8.5" wheel isn't bad at all. It's the guys running +35 STi type of poked offsets on slammed LGTs that need all the fender work. LegacyKid5
I ended up going for the 18x8.5 which has +44 offset, should be all good. Pretty stoked on a little wider wheel.
Drift Motion
you can get up to 245s without too much of a problem with rubbing
