Tainted beef
Just picked up a 2.5i 08 legacy with 20,000 miles on it. I want to know what I'm getting my self into when i decide its time to swap out for ej25t and ditch the ej253. I will continue surfing the web for different views. Im a honda guy switching over to subaru so I'm new to this game. Thanks.
liljonson
Its alot harder and more expensive than honda swaps. Not worth it. Just do some suspension mods on that sucker. You will still be faster than 95% of the Hondas out there =P
BAC5.2
When you decide it's time to ditch the ej253, just trade the car in for an LGT. Subaru did a better job with the swap than you will. AZP Installs
I can't find my original post, but I'll sum it up. I never say don't do a swap, but do it 100% right or don't bother. It is not hard to drop in a new motor and get the car running, but if you dont do it properly you will never work the kinks out. There is a lot of electronic nightmares to go through with this stuff and unless you know what you are doing. -Jake http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/91072632.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/133406601.jpg http://upload.pbase.com/image/137566671.jpg Call directly for your best Whiteline Price! | We also carry almost every manufacturer now, so before you buy parts call us. Subies4Life
I would say to keep it the way it is and enjoy it. Rack up 70,000 more miles then sell it or trade for a GT. Honestly the best Legacy is the Legacy 2.5GT Spec.B followed closely by the GT. The 2.5I is also great for commuting and gas mileage.
