Don't think we have a thread for reliable shops in Md. if not, perhaps we can start one.

I just recently started using Foreign Auto Excellence in Fredrick. Needed a shop close to my house. These guys have taken care of me on numerous occasions. Even got the owners wifes car as a loaner while my car was being fixed.

IAG Performance

1203 Baltimore Blvd.

Westminster MD 21157

By far the best shop I have ever dealt with. They are a full service shop and have great products, great customer service, IN STOCK PARTS, cool people and the best show room I have seen in a while.

^ I've heard great things about Agile. And I've heard bad things about Agile.

Name any vendor/tuner that is not that way:rolleyes: ,,turboxs, andrewtech,IAG,Agile, etc etc etc they all have a certain amount of detractors.

I've been trying to get a hold of IAG for two days now and no one is answering phones. Any ideas?

SEMA indeed. I apologize for the inconvenience. Did you leave a message? We had someone here in the shop checking and returning messages several times throughout the past week while we were closed. We are back in full force as usual today, 9am-7pm M-F and 10-5 Saturday.

We appreciate those that have recommended us... Other then the week of SEMA, most of us pretty much live here at the shop, and will be happy to help you with your performance needs! The quickest way to reach us is by phone (410-840-3555), or if you're not in a hurry, we try to respond to all PM's daily!

Regards,

Rick

Hey Rick,

Yeah, I left a couple messages last week and didn't get any return calls.

Anyway, got a hold of you guys this week and got my tires mounted yesterday.

Balance job seems very good, no vibration at all so thanks.

Well it's been fairly obvious to most of us here that you are an IAG "fanboy" and are probably on their payroll.;)

Your sig says it all.

:rolleyes::rolleyes: Back at ya.

You are a proven Agile fan boy as well.

I support IAG, and link their website in my sig for many reasons:

Great Customer service

Quality fabrication and service

REASONABLE & better than competitive prices

Outstanding reputation

Parts are IN STOCK

Great showroom

Knowledgable & cool staff

Yes..I am a self pro-claimed fan-boy. I am not on the payroll, but I definitly have paid my dues at the shop.

You on the otherhand....are also a fan boy....but you cannot say all of the above reasons about your shop....CAN YOU?;)

Calling me out is an excercise in futility.

Gentlemen,

Let please keep this clean. There is no reason to muck up this thread with insults and turn it into a pissing match. Everyone has the option to form their own opinion of any of the shops in Maryland. IAG may be the right choice for some and it may not. Agile may be the right choice for some and it may not. The truth is, that it is up to you guys as the community to form your own opinions.

We in the past have had a good working relationship with Agile and respect them as a fellow shop. As some of you may know, some time ago we referred our customers to them for tuning. We have since worked out a relationship that we feel is better suited for us and our customers. We felt that we would both have better control and could maintain the same level of service from start to finish by arranging our own tuning sessions.

Ultimately, it was about continuity of care. That's it. Any of our existing customers will be the first to tell you that customer service is truly our first priority. No smoke and mirrors here. We know that without loyal customers, it doesn't matter how much power you make or how fast your shop car is, you will never make it.

The bottom line is if you have had good experiences at a shop, stick with them.....whether it be Agile, IAG, Andrewtech (who, for the record we also have a good working relationship with), or whomever.

Now, please lets keep this thread clean!

Regards,

JJ

JJ,,

I never had a problem/issue with your shop and have always heard great things about it.If you were closer to me me I would probably be a customer.

But your fanboy seems to think you guys are perfect ie never having a disgruntled customer, issues etc..I've been in the sales/service business for far to many years to know this to be true. You run a sales service business your not gonna please everybody which is what I stated earlier.I didn't single you out,I named quite a few vendors/tuners including some of the best out there.

Your "friend" took great affront at me stating that "all shops have their detractors" and he seemed to imply that IAG was darn near perfect. If you are congratulations.

But I think in the real world we all know better.

And just because I'm from Belair doesn't make me a fanboy of Agile,my two cars, an 04 STi was tuned by Jermaine at turboxs and my Legacy by TDC .Most of my parts come from Myles at racecomp.

JJ,I have no issues with you or IAG,just one of your "customers" who thinks you guys walk on water and seems to think advertising his business and yours in his sig is common practice.

nuff from me
