Van Pelt
I recently came across a 2012 sti sedan catback. Overall it looked very similar to the oem 3.6r midpipe in term of bends so I figured I'd give it a try.Main differences are resonator shape and pipe diameter . Oem 3.6r is 50mm after resonator ( not sure on the size if the LGT )and Sti is 60mm.Front flange was cut and rotated. 10-1/2" piece of 2-1/2" tubing was added between flange and resonator to get rid of the sti offset.Bolts right up to oem cans with no trouble Overall about an hour worth of work.I also mocked up sti quad cans but will have to do a little more fab to clear factory cut outs. Driving impressions after install are good. Slight elevation in tone without any drone.I should have the rear cans installed by next week.

Van Pelt
Cans bolted right up. oem tips removed and replaced with 2-1/2 tubing.Sound is perfect . Similar to a G35. I am headed to Gardner Mass next week if you want to hear it in person
smoop1
sorry for bringing up this thread from the dead, but between a 2.5gt or an 08 wrx 4dr catback, which would need less hacking up for a 3.6r?
Perscitus
5th gen LGT, just a few inches up front by the flange. Its just a tad too long as-is for the 3.6R y-pipe which reaches further back then the LGT rear section of the downpipe.

bloodwingg2
hey, I want to do the same thing with my 2013 2.5i. Do you have to cut the bumper ? And how do you get the tip removed from the muffler ?
