Corny357
I just finished searching a ton on this, but can't really find much. I want to find LED turn signals for my 09 sedan (back and front) and find LED brake lights. I found nothing on the brakes except for 05-07s and what I found on the turn signals confused the piss out of my non-electrically oriented mind. Help. planelazy
They don't exist.. you can buy LED replacement bulbs. The people here with sedans who have LED tail lights cut open their lamp assemblies and made it themselves. The only Legacy that has LED tail lights is the wagon. Corny357
So they don't exist or I can buy LED replacement bulbs? Which is it? And what about those turn signals?
DrSpeed
LED replacement bulbs. Here's what I used for the fronts: http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/Turn-Signal-LED/White-LED/CK-TYPE-2-DUAL-COLOR-p7431626-1-2.html Rear Brake and Turn Signals (same bulb for the interior 3rd brake light): http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/Brake-Light-LED/Red-LED/V-LEDS-PLATINUM-RED-7-p9448888-1-2.html and the flasher: http://www.v-leds.com/BlinkerWarning-Fix/Electronic-Flashers/LEXUS-ELECTRONIC-4-LED-p4957253-1-3.html BANNED FROM THE TIKI FORUM. Corny357
Can you explain this further please? The fronts I understand - buy the bulbs and buy the flasher. But the rears you listed the same bulb for the brakes and turn signals? So I would buy four of those? Two for the turns and two for the brakes? Corny357
And does that flasher module make my hazards not work?
DrSpeed
I thought the white running lights were cool - but yes, you can have them with amber too. http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/Parking-Light-LED/Amber-LED/V-LEDS-PLATINUM-AMBER-p9448912-1-2.html The hazards still work - I did this to the fiance's 05 GT...so that I can guarantee you. And yes, the rear turn signals and brake lights are the same bulb. -7 numbers are dual element -6 are single element incandescent bulbs. The LED just uses one of the elements. The door lock/unlock blinks a little faster, but that's it. Beats putting load resistors in. BANNED FROM THE TIKI FORUM.
Corny357
Can you confirm that this would also work for an 09? Also, what do you mean by -7 numbers are dual element and -6 are single element? I don't know what dual element/single element means. Thanks.
goneskiian
These are great! I'm going to have to get some to go along with my LED Tails. I like those white/amber ones DrSpeed! Thanks for sharing! I had some cheap O'Reilly's LED turns in the front but hated the double time blinking they created. Shouldn't be a problem now as I've got a resistor in place for the LED tails. Cheers! I don't know what dual element/single element means. Thanks. 3156 - Single element, means one filament. Bright-Off 3157 - Dual Element, means two filaments. Bright-low intensity-off. metsfan999
Maybe some of you guys understand all of this but how do I go about installing this? I know its more than unplugging the old bulb and throwing in the new LEDs. Where or who can give me this information?

The turn signal relay is under the dash. There's a panel that you need to remove. Then turn on the hazards, and start listening/feeling for the clicking. BANNED FROM THE TIKI FORUM. Corny357
Any chance we could get a picture, or better yet, a video of how this all looks? Even though I'd really like to see it on an 08-09, I can still get the idea on your 05.
DrSpeed
I'll try to get one tonight. BANNED FROM THE TIKI FORUM.

nightspeed98
Panel should be under steering wheel by door. Just above hood release iirc.
metsfan999
So I don't need a load resistor kit and I don't have to splice into any wires? I would just need the blinked turn signal fix and plug that in and ill be good to go?

adhdrockstar
Dang those look bright! So for your front LED turn signal bulbs. Let me get this straight. Those bulbs now become a type of DRL and just stay lit until you turn on your turn signal when they change to the amber color? -Urban Cowboy

Corny357
Ahh, although, the turn signal bulb and brake light bulb might be the same for the 05, but I don't know if that's the case for the 09. Anybody?
