ziptiecloud
Curious to see what others do with their gear box vs. brakes when slowing down.. I've heard everything from "changing break pads is less expensive than.." to "No, it's actually good for the gears..". What do you do and why? whitetiger
rev matching is good for the gears, clutch and syncros. engine braking is just a side effect from downshifting early and letting the engine slow the car down. the only time you should actively think about enginebraking is on very long downhill decents, like on a mountain road, so you dont overheat the brakes.
