Gorillafood
I need to put a trailer hitch on the legacy to pull some waverunners. I know it has enough power with no issues but I want a hitch that's not crazy visable....I found this company called hidden hitch but I am still looking for some help. Philberto
This thread may be of some help. Not too "hidden" though. http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/does-subaru-offer-trailer-hitch-yeti-168261.html
GTEASER
Another option is EcoHitch. No need to drill, it bolts up. Looks like the Legacy fitment is fairly new from this company. http://torkliftcentral.com/ecohitch/subaru/ecohitch_legacy.php GTEASER's 2012 Legacy GT - Sold GTEASER's 2009 XTeaser - Sold GTEASER's 1992 Legacy SS - Sold

Gary245
I think I want one of those - Ecohitch's.... the design (and fact that it doesn't protrude any more than it does) looks great. I checked the website, but couldn't find anything on required time to install. Any idea what the estimated installation time is?
GTEASER
Probably less than the ones that you have to drill to install. I would guess, if you are a capable mechanic and had an extra set of hands around to help you with the bumper removal/install, probably 2-3 hours. SophiesSubie
The Curt hitch took about 2 hr to install and it helps to have a 2nd person to help lift it in place to get the bolts threaded.
rpmk104
I have a curt hitch also. It mounts very close to the bumper so it looks pretty hidden.http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/07/05/qajumuza.jpg Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk
GTEASER
Installed my EcoHitch today. It weighs 43 pounds and did have brackets that run along the frame rails. Install went well and was pretty easy. Also used a Curt wiring harness that was plug and play for my Legacy....super easy. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/07/19/9c80644063659679d332a06aaeb2863d.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/07/19/323a6ca4ccd6778c68a1d30ecc6991f0.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/07/19/2d8dadd8cf35019f1cdd0834b7a96577.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/07/19/308c15843b9f025ffedab3d3a5df7137.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/07/19/f6448ddd491440f5e417dfa3aeed49c9.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/07/19/678c221800a85b780a6909e2c226e86c.jpg GTEASER's 2012 Legacy GT - Sold GTEASER's 2009 XTeaser - Sold GTEASER's 1992 Legacy SS - Sold

FLlegacy
If money doesn't matter the ecohitch for sure, install time should be similar with both hitches it's mostly about how much of a hurry you are in to install it. 2 hours is doable if you are prepared. For future reference to others looking at the hidden or curt hitch there is a model that bolts right in if you remove the rear bumper I however didn't get that one, unbeknownst to me, lol. Curt 112982 will only align with the hole closest to the bumper supports. The other hole must be drilled out.
