Keddar Posted April 18, 2014 Share Posted April 18, 2014 Hi guys, I know exceedingly little about installing remote starts, just to get that out of the way. I just took the car to get a remote start put in, and the tech could not get the trunk to work. Said the car would blow 40 amp(?) fuses after popping the trunk. Anyone else run into a problem like this? When I hold the button on the remote, the lights flash like it works, but the trunk doesn't release. My guy said it takes a special relay to get our trunks to open without popping fuses. Put the new relay in and no problems since. Mine is an Omega remote start.
