SMielke
I was driving my car hard recently. While in sport mode I noticed that my brake indicator was popping up while near red line in first and second. I don't know if it is a "shift light" or if something is wrong with my brakes. I know I need new pads I'm at about half now. I'm making a 1000 mile trip in the next few days and don't want something to happen. And for me driving like I was I like letting my cars stretch their legs once a month so I don't get a bunch of carbon build up.
lingling1337
Do a search, it's pretty common. Not a big problem, like you said think of it as a shift light
fly_navy
Brake light has multiple uses: indication of parking brake and low fluid level. Under hard accel the fluid movement can trip the light. Take a look under the hood and make sure your fluid level is still in check.
mwiener2
Add brake fluid, find out why it's low. Dead pads cause low fluid level. My Mods List (Updated 8/22/17) 2005 Outback FMT Running on Electrons
