Not to be a dick, but the tint installer hasn't done a very good job.

There's no reason why he couldn't have brought the film right up to the edge of the glass and shaved or filed it flush with the edge of the glass.

5% here in FL. :)

Florida had one of the most relaxed laws on tint.. I think it's what, 5% rear windows, 20% front sides or something? I think it's similar to Texas but it's been such a long time since I've had a car tinted I can't remember.

I do need to get my car tinted though. Hey my car is in Auburndale.. know of any good tint places in that area or in your area? I know where Bradenton is..

Wow I was way off :p

Well I can go ahead and get my car tinted in Florida.. except I can only go down to 32% on the front side windows because I'll be moving to Missouri (car is registered in Georgia).. but I can go down to whatever I want on the rest.. so I'm thinking.. 32% up front, 20% all around

  • 2 weeks later...
Ive got 20% all around on my silverado and my wifes legacy. no issues with cops. (louisiana and kentucky) and I dont really have to worry about getting pulled over tomorrow for it since I wont be back from Afghanistan for another month! Just for saying that, Ill probably get pulled over on my way home when we land. Hahahaha.

usually they leave a very small gap because film will expand to heat. But the interpretation of "very small" is entirely up to the installer. :)
