Yayo
My front bumper has the center vertical piece cut off for my FMIC and i wanted to cover it up with something. Didn't want to bondo it up so was thinking of putting a long piece of carbon fiber film/sticker to go along the whole length of the bumper. Does anyone know where I can get something like this? thanks.
xxlmellon
r-rev had a grille that fit in that lower section of the bumper as long as the center vertical piece was removed i would check into that
moncur_6
Grillmaster makes a grille for the lower section too...I'm not sure about the vertical piece though

moncur_6
http://www.rrevsports.com/ has one. I couldn't find the grillemaster lower grille for the life of me...but this one tells you to cut the vertical piece off...not sure if it will work for you or not though. Yayo
So went to a bodyshop to get a quote...they said they wouldn't recommend body work because since the whole is pretty big it won't look right. He said he would put a metal plate under the bumper, then place rubber? on top to conceal the cut, then paint. However, over time it will start to sag and not look right. Any other suggestions? Yayo
any ideas guys? should i try another shop? is it really not possible to fix the cut-out on the bumper?
moncur_6
I have honestly never seen anyone cut out that vertical piece before...take this as a golden opportunity to buy a fancy aftermarket bumper. There are tons of options out there... I'm stumped.
Yayo
Yea, apparently the front bumper needed to be cut for the AVO fmic on my 08', I would love a jdm front bumper, but in that case fancy=$$$. I might just get a 2nd opinion at another shop.
