mmanus88
go for the avic-n2, i have it and its amazing. if your looking into satellite radio make sure u install it in conjunction with the avic for uniformity between the systems. if u happen to have/are getting xm get the module compatible with the avic and u can have navtraffic as well. fmr360owner
There was discusson on another thread that if you used the AVO cubby DIN adapter, you'd still have to slice through metal supports behind the dash in order to make room for the backside of the radio. I'm kinda reluctant to undertake that -- or to leave it to the judgment of the teenagers down at the stereo shop. For those who've used the cubby module and installed an AVIC, or a Kenwood, or a what-have-you in the DIN slot, did you have to cut, peel, slice, dice, or otherwise destroy anything behind the cubby to make things fit? (The cubby plastic doesn't count, because I can purchase a replacement -- not so with metal supports that are spot-welded to the frame...)
skubdu
it is actually a plastic support and it the does not weaken the structure because you will be replacing it with the metal brackets that come with the kit to mount your headunit.
