Anybody wanna cruise to a ghost town (and hit some twisties)? Im thinking Next Saturday 4/29/06, maybe meet up around 9 or 10, at the same spot if thats cool? I-17 and Cactus, and Forced Air Technologues I think it was called? Or at the I-17 and Bell and the Park and Ride.

I feel like doing some exploring, and my son will have a blast. So if anybody wants to bring their kids, this may be a more enternaining cruise for them. Here are a couple links to some within a couple hours of here. Some feedback on where anybody may want to go (if anybody, lol), would be cool.

Here is a link to a nice one, with some twisties from what it looks like, on the way up. There is a 6 dollar entrance fee to this one though.\/ \/ \/

Here are some other ones, that have no entrance fee. All the blue dots are different ones around.\/ \/ \/

There is one that says Jeep trails only, 4 miles south of lake pleasant, not too far. Im not sure if our Subys are high enough to clear some of it......I may try it out today or tomorrow. If anybody is down next weekend, or any other time, let me know. I love exploring crap with my kids. Plus we should get some off roading, and some twisties. Should be a pretty good time.

PS: if anybody wants to post a link on NASIOC, that would be cool. I dont go on there too much.

The Red Bull who?

-"Q"

Tempe Town Lake, Saturday, 40+ teams will launch their idea of an aircraft into the lake off a platform 20 or 30 feet up. Sponsored by Red Bull (it gives you wings, see?).

I invited some EVO people, so well see if they come, too

If anybody wants to meet before the flugtag, there is also an EVO BBQ at Mynes Performance. Not sure when. here is their site though

Cool. Ill see you there. Im thinking the ghost town may be the best. Its a shorter drive too, and Ive had a VERY long weekend. Its probably about 2-3 hrs less of driving time.

Ill see you all there. At 10 am....Is that time still good for you all. Im planning on 10. Ill try to get a few printouts of directions so at least another person will know the way to go.

See you all tomorrow!

Ghost town should have better twisties, since the lava tubes have none. But they have dirt roads for about 5 miles each way.

We can also go a little more north of wickenburg, and head up the mountain for some more twisties. Just looks like a better ride, and a faster trip.

The last time I went to the lava tubes, I was out of town for about 10+hrs. that was with some meals and breaks, though. Its about 5 or 10 minutes west of SnowBowl.

Ill print a couple sets of directions up for both, and we can decide when we meet up what sounds better.
