thisisthenewsic
They aren't in long beach area, but hit up Apollo performance in upland. I'm good friends with the two owners. Great guys and great prices. They can take care of you.
leftcoast74
There's a lot of shops around SoCal. As mentioned ^ Apollo over in Uplands, Infamous Performance is south in San Marcos. EDO performance is in Huntington Beach...I've never been there but it's close. What model ru driving, what swap did u do, & what do u want to get done? Be specific if u can. 97gt.wgn
thanks for the input guys! as for my car, its a 97 gt wagon(5mt)with a 06 wrx swap. mileage since swap is getting up there and the original transmission is exhibiting signs of wear. feels like there is a slight loss of power in between shifts and stutters a bit during acceleration. in short, i'd like to get my transmission checked out and do 90k/timing service. cheers
Alfred_Buchi
Loss of power in between shifts? or just after a shift? In between shifts I never felt much power haha. Do you see the rpms climb a little before you feel the car accelerate? If that's the case you need a clutch. Just a shot in the dark based on description. leftcoast74
90k service is pretty common for any of the fore mentioned shops. Might be clutch and them some. Mike and Todd at Infamous Performance & tuning have great service and skills. There's nothing they haven't seen, torn apart and put back together. My 2cents...
