lee07
So what's the size for the egt plug for an invidia up? 12mm 1.25 pitch or what. Won't need to do the resistor mod, right? getting it custom tuned Monday.
lee07
Can't I just cut off most of the wire and put the original egt sensor back in to fill the hole?
Max Capacity
Take the sensor to the parts store and match up the threads to a bolt. Hardware stores will have them too. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. lee07
Probably can't do that because the car will be on lift taking it off but how about bringing the pipe in the store to find the size before the install.
Moderators BarManBean Posted February 16, 2012 Moderators Share Posted February 16, 2012 You're on the right track, m12x1.25. Use an oil drain plug from an auto parts store. I believe the toyota drain plugs are angled to fit the invidia pipe with the conical shape I. The bottom. I think some also recommend using locktite to make sure the bolt doesn't come out. 05LGTurbo
What size resistor is needed when you do this mod? (If you don't tune the cel out). And where do you wire the resistor in? A diy link would be great lol
bmx045
2.2kohm the resistor literally plugs into the pins in the plug
