Also people have build threads on the photo sections and gives you an idea of what people are doing with their cars. Lastly just go thru this forum, and the other 4th gen forums clicking on every thread and each will give you a different info and views about these cars problems, solutions, and mods. zanzabar Posted July 29, 2013 Share Posted July 29, 2013 when you get the timing assembly done at 110k (or now if it has not been done and has more,) make sure that that the banjo bolt in the drivers side head gets cleaned, and make sure that the banjo on the turbo has the filter removed. the bolt on the head is to make sure that the AVCS sensor stays clean, and it runs around $1500 to get the bolt taken care of (basically the same as the timing assembly.) for mods, get a catless up pipe, so your turbo wont die from cat flake. get a pro tune if you have a tuner in your area instead of the access port if you have to pick. idiot4hire Posted July 29, 2013 Share Posted July 29, 2013 Change your diff and trans fluid. Use good motor oil like rotella t6 stay away from mobile one. Get a oil analysis from black stone labs. Check your control arms bushings they wear out and make noise. As far as mods for power a uppipe and stage one tune. Handling good tires and rsb open the car up a lot. Keep some money in the bank for wheel bearings. Other then that have fun with it unless you put a "illest" sticker on it in which case I hope it explodes.
