Android Head Unit

I currently have the Pioneer Avic Z150bh which I purchased because of the Appradio function. After having it almost a year, I decided appradio just isn't for me. I am looking for more Android out of a head unit. The closest thing I have found is the Parrot Asteroid Smart. But the downside is that it is running a very old version of Android and even after rooting it, it's not close to the "full Android" experience. I have also been looking into the chinese Android head units running 4.2-4.4. They seem like a possible choice, but I don't know how reliable they are.

Does anyone have one of these head units that can chime in on how well they work?
